Christian music sucks.

Well today at work was terrible. Worse than it has ever been before. I felt like literally walking away. Somehow I restrained myself. When this happens I usually become angry at everyone and everything. So, I have to go off on something. Have my tirade, and rage on about something to get the anger out. This time my innocent victim is that CCM crap that comes streaming through the speakers. How can you people put up with that Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin garbage? I guess all you need to be happy is two different chord progressions and the same lovey dovey lyrics in each song you listen to. Nothing is pure anymore. Lady GaGa tried but now she is gimmicky. Even “indie” music is popular now. What the crap?! How did this happen? I am sick of Christian music, and I know other Christians out there must think it’s a sin, so please show me where it says “thou shalt not listen to AC/DC”. Oh, but we can’t forget the verse “and God proclaimed, ‘on each day, thou shalt listen to KayLove each time thou art in thine vehicle’” I don’t think so. Sometimes I have to wonder if God gets tired of the repetitious music that Christian artists churn out these days. The same tunes, the same obnoxiously happy lyrics…worship music should not be that way. Worship needs to be CREATIVE. it needs to be PURE and HONEST and REAL. That is why the only worship artist I have deemed worthy to actually buy their CD is The Glorious Unseen. They make pure, honest music. They don’t just say how wonderful God is. They sing about life struggles, failure, and redemption. Please stop listening to insincere worship and listen to the real deal. The Glorious Unseen.
